Mom Says "No" to Flowers

I love hanging out in the garden and I enjoy smelling the flowers, but I don't always watch where I'm sitting and I squash some of them. Right now, my favorites are something called hyacinths. They're really great. I shove my nose right up against them and sniff and then I sneeze. Mom says I better not even try to do that to her Easter Flowers. She put up a little fence around them. I can hop over it, but so far those flowers aren't that interesting. They're just short green leaves. Maybe they'll smell good later.

Gift Ideas for Boston Terrier Lovers

Mom says that sometimes people need special treats, too. She has been searching for some great gift ideas for Boston Terrier lovers. She found all sorts of things with Boston Terrier pictures on them, like coffee mugs and t-shirts, but she wanted something a bit more special.
It turns out that there isn't much else for Boston Terrier lovers out there, but there is a terrific gift you can get their dogs-Pampered Dog Gift Baskets. I'm hoping one shows up at my front door soon!

Sophie and Me - Friends for Life

Well, its been a few days since Sophie came to live with us and I have to say that I was all wrong. I love Sophie. Scottish Terriers are lots and lots of fun to play with. We run and bark and run some more. Since she is a puppy too, she doesn't get tired and grumpy like the big dogs do.
Yesterday, I showed Sophie how to go down the steps like a big dog. Then, I showed her how to steal food from the big dogs. I think it tastes better than puppy chow.
Today, I showed her how to chase the kitties. Its lots of fun. Mom said I will turn Sophie into a delinquent.

Sibling Rivalry - I Don't Want a Sister

I was happily playing with Mr. Rocky while I was waiting for mom to come home, completely unaware that my perfect life was about to end. When I heard Mom's car pull up, I ran to greet her. She was holding something. I was really excited because it looked like a new squeaky toy. Instead of giving it to me, Mom said, "Down, Betsy. Sit."
I looked closer and realized it was another puppy. How dare the puppy touch my Mom. I tried to chase it away when Mom let me close to it. Then, Mr. Rocky ran over and gave the puppy one of his toys and Mom said, "What a good boy."
I barked and barked at the puppy. I barked so hard that I went backwards. Mom told me to stop being jealous and that the puppy needed us because her old parents had her for just two weeks and decided they couldn't keep her.
She is called a Scottish Terrier and her name is Sophie. She is ten weeks old and the little people think she is cute. Mom says I am cute, too and she has enough love for all of us.
I don't care. I still don't like Sophie. Life was perfect with just me and Mr. Rocky. I stole her toys and ate her food and tried to box her with my paws through the bars of her crate. She wagged her tail and tried to kiss me. Then she cried a little and Mr. Rocky brought her one of his toys again. He didn't bring one for me.
I was mad for so long that I got tired. I'm going to take a nap and when I wake up maybe Sophie will be gone.

Mange Free - No More Shots

I didn't want to say anything too soon, in case I relapsed, but I am now mange free and do not need any more Demodectic mange shots. I am hairy and happy. I still have to wear a brand new tick collar every month and I still take my 3-V capsules, but otherwise I am good to go.
I am so happy and I don't even have an accident when people pet me most of the time now. Mom says she thinks that the accidents must have been connected to the mange somehow. They were so embarrassing, especially when everyone would start yelling, "Don't touch her or she'll pee!" at the vet's office.
Oops, gotta go. One of the little people left his stuffed bunny on the floor and I'm going to steal it and rip it to shreds.

Smart Puppy

I have to tell you I am one smart puppy! I have learned to stay and heel. Mom is trying to teach me lay down, too. I almost have that one figured out. Mom says once I finish learning this stuff we will do fun tricks, like running through tunnels and fetching sticks.

Healthy Skin at Last

When Mom brought me home from the veterinary lady's office, she brought some special vitamins for my skin with her. They are called 3V Caps and have fish oil and Vitamins A, D and E in them. They taste yummy but are a little hard to swallow because they kind of stick to my tongue. Mom says my skin is less flaky and my hair is nice and soft and I've only been eating them for a week.

The bad news is, I lost some of the pretty new hair by my eyes. The veterinary lady looked at me today and said it was because the operation made my immune system weak again, but I should be better really soon. I hope so. I hate those shots. I even hid under a bench today and pretended I wasn't there, but they found me and gave me a shot anyway. At least I get lots of attention and a doggie cookie after the shot.

Well, all that hiding and crying wore me out. I'm going to go take a nap on Mr. Rocky.
